The concept for Orchid Park takes its clues from its surrounding context comprised of lush green residential landscapes; the amazing city views, the neighbouring malls, and the existing lush green park site.

We have developed a concept that is both iconic in scale - to address the city context and to establish a vertical site marker on the horizon - as well as one that relates to the more intimate scale of the local residential developments with and inward facing intimate space, with water, warm materials, shade and lush gardens.

Landscape is carefully integrated into the entire development and becomes a predominant feature as it extends from the plaza spaces upwards to the public gardens and then to the residential gardens and terraces that overlook the plaza spaces.
The overall effect is of lush ‘Hanging Gardens ‘and it serves as an iconic overall thematic character for the entire development.

These terraced gardens extend for the first 4 floors of the residential buildings and provide a soft transition from retail to residential towers. They also provide for premium terrace flats that will offer a unique urban and residential experience to the Jakarta market. With large, lush private gardens, exclusive private access to the front door and luxurious 2 story glazed living spaces these will be high demand exclusive residences.

The public spaces are all shaded and protected with trees and canopies. Further, we are also suggesting that we retain and relocate some of the mature trees on the site into the public space as unique features to provide additional shade, and also celebrate and reflect a history of the site. In deference to this idea, these trees have been ‘monumentalised’ and placed strategically throughout the site.
