The approach to the mall program will be a holistic one; one that combines entertainment, retail, food & beverage to maximize the overall shopping experience and to reinforce the project as a destination.
The concept employs a simple orthogonal architectural paradigm as an extension of the surrounding urban fabric. The site is organized in a simpler and straightforward manner with the residential on the north and mall centered on the south Plot with a large plaza space on the south side functioning as the main public address of the commercial development. This separation of the program onto designated subparcels allows them to be constructed in stages.
In this RDE model it is the “strategic combination and placement” of the entertainment, food, retail and public space that provides the quality of the overall visitor experience. The goal is to provide a program that excites and engages the guest to maximize the quality of their visit. In this way we will increase the length of stay, increase the footfall, increase thepotential spend and thus increase the overall project value.
We are also considering the entire family and what we can do to provide a balanced program offering to attract a broader audience. This means not only catering to family and children, which is important, but also providing entertainment, F&B and retail for teens and young adults who have considerable spending power and will help drive the mall during the later evening hours. The holistic approach to the mall will also include the placement and programming of the public space with events, concerts, special exhibits, shows etc. This soft entertainment is a vital part of the overall offering in reinforcing the overall “Experience”.
